Clean energy patents set record in 2009 (access required)

The number of U.S. clean energy technology patents reached an all-time high in 2009. Last year, 1,125 such patents were granted by the U.S. Patent and Technology Office, topping 2008’s total by 200. The data is reflected in the Clean Energy Patent Growth Index, issued quarterly by the law firm of Heslin Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti PC. ...
