Open Letter announces fall reading series

The fall portion of the 2010-2011 “Reading the World Conversation Series” has been announced.
All events are free and open to the public in the Rush Rhees Library, University of Rochester. They will be recorded and available at http://www.rochester.edu/threepercent).
- Thursday, Sept. 23, 6 p.m., Welles-Brown Room: Robert Walser and His “Microscripts;” Susan Bernofsky, translator of Walser; Yoko Tawada; and others talk with Barbara Epler, publisher of New Directions, about Walser.
- Thursday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m., Hawkins-Carlson Room: The State of International Publishing, Yana Genova, translator from Next Page Foundation; Steve Dolph, translator from CALQUE publisher; and Chad W. Post, publisher of Open Letter; discuss publishing translations.
- Tuesday, Nov. 9, 6 p.m., Hawkins-Carlson Room: Ledig House Roundtable, four international writers in residence reading from their works and discussing literary trends from around the world.
