Yogen Früz, a Rochester-based frozen yogurt company, has announced it has entered into a franchising agreement with Elizabeth Kendzierski to open a new store at the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls in October.

The agreement marks the fifth Yogen Früz to open in Western New York since Yogen Früz’s master franchisee, YF of Upstate New York, brought Yogen Früz to Upstate New York (at Eastview Mall) in 2008.

YF of Upstate New York is owned by local resident George Traikos, president, who said the goal is to align the company with the right franchisees who support an established multi-national operation.

“Franchising agreements are the key factors in the success of our expansion into Upstate New York,” Traikos said. “It’s a logical next step for the company’s brand-building in the Western New York market.”

Yogen Früz is an international chain of  frozen yogurt desserts with more than 1,200 stores in more than 25 countries.
