Magistrate’s Association swears in new officers

The Dec. 22 meeting of the Monroe County Magistrate’s Association included a holiday lunch and installation of new officers and trustees. The Hon. Allyn S. Hammell (Clarkson) conducted the meeting as outgoing president of the organization.
The Jim E. Morris Award was presented to Judge Fred Gallina (Pittsford) who was unable to attend, but accepted his award via telephone from Florida. The Hon. John Pisaturo (Gates) was presented with the Retirement Recognition and Judicial Service Award.
New York State Supreme Court Justice Alex Renzi administered the oath of office to incoming president, the Hon. John J. Bernacki of Pittsford. MCMA 2012 officers were also sworn in by Judge Renzi: the Hon. Joseph J. Valentino (Irondequoit) as vice president, the Hon. Richard Moffett (Hamlin) as treasurer and the Hon. Robert Connors (Sweden) as secretary.
The oath was also administered to MCMA past presidents and trustees, including: the Hon. Allyn S. Hammel (Clarkson), the Hon. Thomas J. DiSalvo (Webster) and the Hon. Michael A. Sciortino (Parma).
