Michael Meurer, professor at Boston University School of Law, and former professor at University at Buffalo, is currently organizing a Symposium covering cutting edge intellectual property and patent issues related to advancements in medicine.
Bioinformatics and Intellectual Property Law is the title of an April 27 program co-sponsored by Boston University School of Law Center for Law and Technology and Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP. The all-day program will include discussions on topics such as Patenting and Financing Bioinformatic Inventions, Data Protection Statutes and Bioinformatic Databases, Molecules vs. Information: Should Patents Protect Both; and The Proper Scope of IP Protection of Drugs in the Post-Genomics Era.
