NIAGARA FALLS — The Secret Service is honoring three members of the New York State Police who helped to investigate a nearly quarter-million-dollar identity theft case that resulted in eight arrests.
State police officials say Senior Investigator Joseph Commisso, Investigator Alan Harshany and Trooper Joseph Raimondi will receive awards from the federal agency during a ceremony being held Tuesday morning at the trooper barracks in Niagara Falls.
Commisso and Harshany are assigned to the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls. Raimondi works out of the Niagara barracks.
Officials say the three men helped the Secret Service arrest eight Chinese nationals charged with stealing $240,000.
