The Monroe County Bar Association on Tuesday installed Susan Schultz Laluk as its 115th president and Elizabeth A. Wolford as president of the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar during an event Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
The evening also served as a celebration of the MCBA’s 50-year members: Morton L. Bittker, Richard A. Calabrese, H. Paul Comisar, Lawrence I. Goldstein, Thomas C. Hartzell Sr., Ronald J. Passero, Arnold R. Petralia, Irving Pheterson, Sherwin B.Weinstein, Walter S. Westfall and Marcia H. Wishengrad.
A moment of silence was held for attorney Richard J. Elliott, who died Saturday. He was a a member of Tuesday’s 50-year class, and outgoing President Harold A. Kurland said Elliott had been looking forward to attending.
The Charles F. Crimi Memorial Award was presented to Pamela J. Bayer of the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office; the Raymond J. Pauley Award to Stephen G. Schwarz, Faraci Lange LLP; and the President’s Award for Professionalism was presented to Judy A. Toyer, Eastman Kodak Co.
President’s awards went to Magistrate Judge Jonathan W. Feldman, U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York; and to Patrick J. Solomon, Thomas & Solomon LLP.
MCBA organizers said 350 attended the event.
