Simon offers new finance degree

The University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Business this week announced a new 13-month, part-time master’s degree in finance program that will be based in New York City.

The school reported that the program is designed for working professionals who seek an advanced finance degree on an accelerated part-time schedule.

The program will start in March 2011 and consist of 12 courses, 10 of which will be conducted at a midtown Manhattan location. The remaining two courses are week-long programs conducted off-site, one at the main campus at the University of Rochester and the other at a European location toward the end of the program.

The curriculum is designed to provide in-depth perspective and the analytical tools for those working in financial services and corporate finance positions, according to a release from the school. Simon faculty will lead program instruction.

An information session will be held Dec. 14 in Manhattan. Online registration and detailed program information is available at www.simon.rochester.edu/msfnyc.
