WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Louise Slaughter of Fairport will maintain a presence on the powerful House Rules Committee.
Last week, Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the House Democratic Caucus had approved Slaughter to serve as ranking member of the House Rules Committee she chaired when Democrats were in control. Republicans won control of the House in the mid-term elections.
Rep. Steve Israel, a Long Island Democrat, will chair the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 112th Congress.
