Lamarr Gilbert, 21, of Rochester, was sentenced to 72 months in prison for conviction of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine and heroin.
He appeared last week before U.S. District Judge David G. Larimer in Rochester. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Noto, who handled the case, said Gilbert participated in a drug organization responsible for the widespread distribution of cocaine and heroin in the Avenue C and Radio Street areas of Rochester between January 2005 and October 2009.
Gilbert was one of 13 individuals facing federal charges for participating in the drug organization, all but one of whom has now been convicted via guilty plea.
