Keith T. McDermott, 60, of Rochester, has been sentenced by U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa to four years in prison and 15 years supervised release for possessing child pornography.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Craig R. Gestring said McDermott possessed images of child pornography on a laptop he owned. When the laptop broke, McDermott gave it to a friend to repair. The friend copied the contents and located the child pornography. A forensic examination conducted by Homeland Security Investigations recovered almost 2,000 images of children, some under 12 years old, engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
