PITTSFORD — Authorities say they’re continuing the investigation into the death of a suburban Rochester woman struck by a town truck plowing snow during last Friday’s storm.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday that town of Pittsford employee Doug Driscoll hasn’t been ticketed. Deputies say he was driving the plow truck that was backing up when it struck 34-year-old Jennifer Simson of Irondequoit as she walked in a parking lot Friday afternoon.

Family members say Simson was on her way to meet her husband and a real estate agent to discuss an offer made on the couple’s home.

An accountant for a Rochester hospital, Simson was the mother of the couple’s three children, ages six months, 2 and 4.
