New attorneys sworn in

The 279 new lawyers take the “Oath of Office” at the Appellate Division, Fourth Department’s bar admission ceremony March 3 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

A total of 278 recent law school graduates joined the New York State Bar on Thursday after being sworn in during ceremonies hosted by the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.

Speakers included Justice Henry J. Scudder, presiding justice of the Appellate Division, Fourth Department; Vincent E. Doyle III, (Connors & Vilardo LLP, Buffalo) president-elect, New York State Bar Association; and Andrea E. Tomaino, principal counsel, Attorney Grievance Committee, Seventh Judicial District.

Many of the new attorneys were joined by family members.
