The Rev. Ronald Antinarelli and the Rev. Jack Healy, O.Carm., were honored recently at the annual dinner of the St. Thomas More Lawyers Guild.
The two clergy members were presented with the Chancellor’s Award. A brief address was given by the Rev. Anthony Mugavero.
Antinarelli has long been involved with the guild and has hosted the annual Red Mass and the annual St. Thomas More Mass at his parish, Our Lady of Victory/St. Joseph’s Church in Rochester, which will host the next St. Thomas More Mass on May 19 for members of the guild and community.
Healy, Order of Carmelites, former pastor and college professor, is a counselor and teacher of theology at McQuaid Jesuit High School. After earning his doctorate, Healy taught for more than seven years at the former St. Bernard’s Seminary in Rochester and has held frequent retreats for guild members. He also helped found the Mount Carmel House, a hospice in Irondequoit, and regularly leads McQuaid students in prayer outside an abortion center.
Other upcoming guild activities include a Natural Law Forum to deal with end-of-life issues, June 11 at St. John Fisher College, featuring attorney Burke Balch; a Natural Law Forum on marriage and family, in September; and the guild’s annual Mass and Retreat for members, Nov. 11 at the Padre Pio Chapel in Gates.
