Daniel J. Lasnick, 47, of Arkport, has pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa to knowingly receiving and distributing child pornography.
The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 10 years, a fine of $250,000 and a term of supervised release of at least five years and up to life.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Marisa J. Miller said the defendant received and distributed images and videos of child pornography through the use of a peer-to-peer file sharing network. Lasnick possessed in excess of 600 images and videos of child pornography, some of which depicted children under the age of 12 years old.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 8.
