Schneiderman names anti-corruption officer

BUFFALO — New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has put a public integrity officer in his western New York regional office.

The attorney general says Tuesday the appointment is part of his efforts to restore confidence in the public sector.

Assistant Attorney General Rose McMorrow will be the go-to person in Buffalo for taxpayers who want to report government corruption.

Schneiderman says eventually, public integrity officers will be in place in all of the regional offices. They’re already in Rochester and Long Island. The attorney general also has offices in Binghamton, Plattsburgh, Poughkeepsie, Syracuse, Utica, Watertown and Westchester.
