BUFFALO (AP) — Attorneys for Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg are due in a Buffalo courtroom to argue for access to materials that form the basis of a local man’s lawsuit claiming part ownership of the multibillion-dollar social media company.
Facebook also wants its forensics experts to examine Paul Ceglia’s computers.
A federal judge was scheduled to consider the request Thursday, even though a lawyer hired by Ceglia just this week had asked for a delay to give himself time to prepare. The judge on Thursday morning denied the request, which Facebook had opposed.
Ceglia, of Wellsville, N.Y., says he has a signed agreement that proves he bought into Zuckerberg’s Facebook idea when he hired Zuckerberg to work on another project back in 2003.
The Palo Alto, Calif., company contends that agreement is a forgery.
