Frankel picks up Schumer endorsement

U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer is endorsing Brighton Town Supervisor Sandra Frankel, a Democrat, in her campaign for Monroe County executive.
“Sandy Frankel has a stellar track record of effective and transparent governance, citizen engagement and strong fiscal and tax management,” Schumer wrote, according to a Frankel release.
“I am grateful to Sen. Schumer for his endorsement of my candidacy for county executive,” Frankel said. “I know that he shares my enthusiasm to bring transparency and openness to the office of county executive. For too long now, important county business has been conducted behind closed doors with little accountability for some serious breaches of the public trust.”
