Former Geneva man charged with bank fraud

By: Daily Record Staff//October 18, 2011

Ronald Cox, 28, formerly of Geneva, is facing up to 30 years in prison after being charged with bank fraud.

He could also be fined $1 million.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee, Cox is alleged to have used the personal information of two people living in Florida, including Social Security numbers and dates of birth, to fraudulently obtain lines of credit from Advanta Bank between June 2008 and June 2009.

The lines of credit were to be used for personal expenditures without the victims’ knowledge. The two individuals thought they were making an investment in the defendant’s automobile business.
