Police: Woman, 47, with 3 kids in SUV was DWI

Listen to this articleAuthorities say a 47-year-old woman driving with three young girls in her sport utility vehicle was drunk and going the wrong way when she nearly collided with a state police patrol car on a Rochester highway.
State police say Cheryl Henchen of Greece was driving west in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 490 late Sunday night when she nearly hit a marked trooper car.
Police say Henchen then drove onto I-490 westbound and abandoned her vehicle. Troopers found her and the girls, all under 15, walking along the highway.
Henchen was charged with driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child under Leandra’s Law. She was being arraigned Monday morning.
Police didn’t know if any of the girls is related to Henchen.
