Authorities say they’ve captured an inmate who escaped from a state-run correctional facility in Rochester.
Troopers say Rastafari Brown was being held at the minimum-security site when he kicked out the front door around 9:40 p.m. Thursday and fled on foot.
Troopers and Rochester police launched a search and captured Brown less than two hours later at the Amtrak station in Rochester.
Officials say Brown was incarcerated for attempted burglary. He’s expected to be charged with escape and criminal mischief.
The Rochester Correctional Facility is operated by the state Department of Corrections, based in Albany.
