Bachelors and bachelorettes are needed to walk the runway for a date auction to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The ROC the Date Auction, planned as an annual event, helped to raise $25,000 in its inaugural year last year.
To be one of Rochester’s most eligible bachelors or bachelorettes, you must be single, charismatic and between the ages of 25 and 40. The auction takes place from 5:30 to 11 p.m. May 17 at Max at High Falls. The highest bidder along with the bachelor(ette) will receive a $100 gift card to a local restaurant for their date.
“Last year’s event was a great success,” said auction host Jim Rahmlow, partner at Mengel Metzger Barr & Co. “The Rochester community came out and showed overwhelming support for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and we hope to raise even more awareness and funding this year,”
The event will be co-hosted by Rahmlow and Murphy’s Law owner Mark Chiarenza, who is in the running to be this year’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year.
Also featured will be wine, beer and food tastings and a silent auction. Presale tickets are $25. Tickets will be $30 at the door.
