Heveron & Heveron CPAs is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month.
“In the very early days I spent time teaching at St. John Fisher College and the Rochester Institute of Technology, in addition to my CPA duties,” President John F. Heveron Jr. said in a release. “Today, our firm thinks of ourselves as the school — in respect to clients — because we teach them best practices. First we learn about them, their operations and their objectives, and then we work to educate them about the best ways to avoid pitfalls and achieve their goals.”
The firm started in 1972, but its roots go back to 1959 when Heveron’s father, the late John F. Heveron Sr., began practice in Rochester.
The Rochester-based business is a New York State Department of Education qualified provider of CPE continuing professional education.
“Our partners and staff serve the profession and the community in leadership roles by serving on boards and committees and by providing educational programs for nonprofits and other CPAs” said partner Stephanie Annunziata.
