Parrinello case postponed

The case of local attorney John R. Parrinello is postponed until July 24.

Parrinello was due in City Court on Tuesday before Judge Thomas Rainbow Morse who announced the date had been changed because Parrinello’s attorney, David Rothenberg, is working on a trial in another matter and was unavailable.

Parrinello is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment in connection with an alleged incident Jan. 3 in his Rochester office.

He is accused of hitting and choking Joseph Cafarelli of Greece, a now-former client, in an alleged dispute regarding Parrinello’s work for Cafarelli in an accident claim and an arrest for driving while intoxicated. Cafarelli told police he went to Parrinello’s office to fire him.

Parrinello has pleaded innocent to all charges.
