Paralegal Perspectives: PAR members, friends enjoy Red Wings game

On Aug. 31, members of the Paralegal Association of Rochester (PAR) and their families were invited to come out and enjoy one of the Red Wings last games of the season in the Hardball Cafe at Frontier Field.

This event was free to all who attended compliments of PAR and one its longtime sponsors, D4. A special thank you goes out to D4 for their generosity and support.

Members and their families enjoyed typical baseball fare including hot dogs, burgers and popcorn. It seemed all were taking pleasure in watching the game and mingling amongst each other. In particular, we all enjoyed watching one young boy eat a hot dog topped with cotton candy — it was just one aspect we aim for at our events — for all to have a good time.

PAR strives to maintain itself as a resource center for the paralegal profession and to provide a network for local paralegals. Our social events are for the benefit of our members and we try to encourage their attendance.

In the end, the Red Wings lost to the Buffalo Mets. However, an impressive fireworks display ended the evening with a bang.

Next up is PARs annual dinner and Chinese Auction to be held this year at Sanibel Cottage on Empire Boulevard on Sept. 19. Any members of PAR interested in attending or those paralegals that are interested in becoming a member of PAR and wish to attend this event, should contact Michele McKay at mmckay@harrisbeach.com.
