Young lawyers hosting canal cruise

A sunset cruise along the Genesee River and Erie Canal will be taken Thursday by members of the Monroe County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section — the group welcomes newly admitted attorneys to join.

The cruise runs from 6 to 8 p.m. aboard the Mary Jemison, sponsored by Sage Rutty & Co. and the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar. Participants should arrive by 5:45 p.m. at the dock in Corn Hill Landing. Seating, which is limited, is available inside or on the open upper deck.

The cruise is discounted at $10 per person and will include the first hour of free beer, wine, water or soft drinks, as well as a fully-stocked cash bar throughout the two-hour cruise. Participants should bring cash because the boat cannot accept credit cards while on the river.

YLS membership is not required for this event. To reserve a spot, contact Liz Novak, Membership, Communications and Foundation manager, at (585) 402-7193.
