Suspect charged in Rochester man’s slaying

Authorities say a 23-year-old man has been charged in a fatal attack in Rochester during which the victim was stabbed with a screwdriver.

The Democrat and Chronicle reports that Rochester City Court records show Marcellus Timmons was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder in the killing of 52-year-old Todd Davidson.

Police say Davidson’s body was found by officers investigating a burglary report at a residence about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say Timmons choked Davidson and plunged a screwdriver into his head during a fight.

Timmons is being held in Monroe County Jail. It couldn’t be determined if Timmons had a lawyer.
