The League of Women Voters of the Rochester Metropolitan Area and the Greater Rochester Coalition for Immigration Justice are hosting a forum, “Untold Truths: Immigration & You,” at 7 p.m. on April 22 at the Brighton Town Hall.
Andrea Callan, a constitutional lawyer with the New York Civil Liberties Union, will address state and federal immigration reform efforts; the Rev. Richard Witt, director of the Rural & Migrant Ministry, will focus on the Justice for Farm Workers Campaign; and the Rev. Chava Redonnet, chaplain at Church of Oscar Romero at St. Joseph’s House of Hospitality, will recount personal stories of the Wayne County migrant population she serves.
A discussion will follow. Since a large crowd is expected, participants are asked to register www.lwv-rma.org.
