A talk on “IP Issues in Transactions” will be given at noon Tuesday in the Class of ‘62 Auditorium at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, 601 Elmwood Ave.
Ralph Loren, a partner at the international law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer, will provide a brief description of the various types of intellectual property and focus on how they may affect transactions and technology valuation.
Loren lectures around the country on a variety of patent, licensing and litigation topics, including arbitration issues. He was a part-time professor at Boston University School of Law, where he taught patent law.
The program, part of the For Inventors, Researchers and Entrepreneurs series, is presented by the Office of Technology, in cooperation with the Center for Entrepreneurship. It is free and open to the public.
