Biel’s Document Management of West Seneca has partnered with BMI Imaging Systems to offer Digital ReeL, a microfiche conversion and microfilm scanning solution.
Digital ReeL creates a digital replica of physical microfilm rolls or microfiche, allowing users to retrieve virtual microfiche and microfilm rolls from a computer. Available as an on-premise solution or cloud offering, users can avoid the hassles that come with physical microfilm and legacy reader printers. “Biel’s has digitally converted hundreds of thousands of records from formats including paper and microfilm,” said Biel’s President Dennis Kempner. “Offering Digital ReeL ensures that our customers have the best possible product, service, support and solution available.”
BMI Imaging Systems, headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., has developed Digital ReeL and converts an average of 3 million images per month, serving commercial and government agencies throughout the U.S. BMI provides industry-leading document management and document scanning products from companies like EMC, Canon and Kodak.
