In support of the 20th annual Bank of America Casting for Caring Sport-fishing Tournament fundraiser May 7 to support the American Red Cross, Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP sponsored a fishing team headed by the firm’s managing partner Jim McElheny.

This year’s tournament, attended by more than 200 fisherman and 50 area companies, brought in more than $70,000 to help support Red Cross programs and services, including disaster relief, safety training, youth programs and armed forces support services.

Charter boat captains from the Greater Rochester Fisheries Association guided teams on Lake Ontario for a day of light-hearted competitive fishing.

The Woods Oviatt team pulled in the overall big fish for the morning portion of the tournament: a 23 pound, 10 ounce king salmon.
