Man charged in roommate’s fatal stabbing

EAST ROCHESTER — Authorities say a 51-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after he fatally stabbed his roommate during an argument in their Rochester-area home.

The East Rochester Police Department tells local media outlets that James McIntosh stabbed a 49-year-old man in the chest as they argued around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.

McIntosh pleaded not guilty in East Rochester Town Court. He’s being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.

No other details have been released.
