In response to local workforce demands, Monroe Community College has developed about 40 new noncredit courses that will be offered beginning this fall — in subjects ranging from presentation skills and information systems security to supervisory training.
The programs are to prepare individuals for career advancement and job opportunities available in the Rochester region.
One of the offerings is designed for mid- to high-ranking managers and executives who seek coaching and strategies on new and different ways to lead effectively.
Several courses prepare participants for certification exams that lead to industry-recognized credentials. They include the community interpreter, a nationally recognized 40-hour course in becoming a medical interpreter in health care, education, and human and social services settings.
Class times and locations vary. For a list of courses or to register, go to www.monroecc.edu/go/FallLearning2013.
