Cork & Fork seeks volunteers

Volunteers are needed for the fourth annual Finger Lakes Cork & Fork, a festival promoting the many local foods, wines and agriculture of the Finger Lakes region.

Volunteer duties range from working with vendors and chefs, assisting with exhibit setup and design, to a variety of customer service, greeting and organizational activities. School and community groups, grades 9 and above, are sought. The greatest need is for the second shift on Sept. 21. Festival shifts are from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 20 and 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at Rodman Lott & Son Farms in Seneca Falls.

In addition to recognition for volunteer hours completed and community service credit, all Cork & Fork volunteers receive an official event bag with collectable glass and plate, festival T-shirt and a complimentary ticket to enjoy the festival outside of their shifts. Students, volunteers and all attendees under 21 will receive a wristband to enjoy non-alcoholic samples and refreshments.

Those interested in volunteering should contact the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce at (315) 568-2906 or email [email protected] to confirm available spaces and sign up for individual or group shifts. Volunteers will then receive confirmation literature with additional details and instructions, and are invited to attend a short orientation meeting on the evening of September 18 at Rodman Lott & Son Farms at 5:30 p.m.
