A series of New York State Bar Association radio announcements hit airwaves across upstate New York this week.
One focuses on how voting makes a difference and the other on legal services for veterans, narrated by President David M. Schraver of Rochester (Nixon Peabody LLP). The radio spots will air for four weeks. Each topic is recorded in 30- and 60-second versions.
The first spot reminds listeners, “Voting is a right we should not take for granted. It’s also an important responsibility of every citizen in our democratic society.”
The second spot explains the complicated legal challenges veterans may face when returning home and says, “If you are a veteran and you need legal help, you don’t have to go it alone. There are organizations and attorneys who are eager to help.”
Help is also available for veterans at nysba.org/vethelp.
