Reflections on Judge Theodore Jones

The work and career of New York State Court of Appeals Judge Theodore T. Jones III will be the topic of a special continuing legal education program Oct. 24 in Buffalo.

Judge Jones died in early November 2012, just hours after appearing at events in Rochester.

Featured speakers include Court of Appeals Judge Eugene F. Pigott Jr., who is from Erie County. He will talk about “Reflection on Judge Jones: A Fellow Colleague.” Juan C. Gonzalez, an attorney at the New York City firm Shaub Ahmuty & Spratt LLP and Judge Jones’s former senior law clerk, will present “Reflection on Judge Jones: A Friend and Boss.”

The program will begin with lunch at 11:45 p.m. at the Bar Association of Erie County, 438 Main St., Buffalo, followed by introductory remarks by attorney Timothy W. Hoover, Phillips Lytle LLP, who will also discuss selected decisions authored by Judge Jones.

One CLE credit will be granted in areas of professional practice.
