Judge Craig J. Doran, administrative judge of the Seventh Judicial District, Monday announced his supervising judges for 2014.
The Hon. William F. Kocher will be the supervising judge of the criminal courts; the Hon. Theresa D. Johnson, city courts; and the Hon. John L. DeMarco, town and village justice courts.
Judge Kocher will be replacing Supreme Court Justice Francis A. Affronti who served in an “acting” capacity after Justice Joseph D. Valentino was elevated to the Appellate Division, Fourth Department. Judge Kocher also presides in Ontario County as a County Court (multi-bench) judge
Judge Johnson will be replacing the Hon. Judge John D. Schwartz, acting County Court and Rochester City Court judge, who is retiring at the end of the year. She is currently the supervising judge of Rochester City Court.
Judge DeMarco will replace Judge Kocher who was serving as supervising judge of the town and village courts prior to his new assignment.
