Stephen A. Zinone of Rochester, an official court reporter for the Seventh Judicial District, is joining a nationwide grassroots effort to promote the profession and educate local communities about the value stenographic skills bring to the marketplace.
The effort is part of the second National Court Reporting & Captioning Week, an annual event highlighting the contributions of stenographic court reporters and captioners and showcasing the growing number of career opportunities that exist in the court reporting and captioning fields. It is sponsored by the National Court Reporters Association.
Zinone, a stenographic court reporter for 31 years, is a graduate of Rochester School of Machine Shorthand, formerly in Rochester. He has been a member of NCRA for 25 years and has earned the nationally recognized credential of registered professional reporter. Zinone, who serves as NCRA’s secretary treasurer, is also a past president of the New York State Court Reporters Association.
