Workplace communications talk planned

The Rochester Business Alliance will host Skip Weisman, an international speaker and workplace communication expert, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 13 at its 150 State St. facilities.

The interactive half-day session will introduce small business leaders to a strategy that can transform a workplace from drama and defensiveness to employee initiative and ownership in as few as 90 days.

Objectives include multi-generational motivation strategies, a six-step formula to change any workplace culture, a review of the seven biggest destructive communication habits and next steps to take the conversation into the workplace. This session is limited to the first 20 registrations. The cost is $85 for RBA members; $100 for nonmembers.

Weisman will also offer sessions for the Buffalo Chapter of the Project Management Institute, delivering the keynote address March 11 at the organization’s dinner meeting on The 4 Workplace Conversations and an all-day training on “Communication Power for Leaders.” For more information, visit www.pmibuffalo.org.
