The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police have reached an agreement to have the county 911 Center also answer calls for the state police.
The new agreement will further enhance efficiency and maximize the resources of both agencies by re-routing state police calls for service, previously received at their Amity barracks, directly to the Cattaraugus County 911 Center for dispatching.
Cattaraugus County can track a caller’s location as well as view the real time location of the deputies and troopers on patrol throughout the county. All calls for service will now be communicated over the sheriff’s office radio frequency. Patrols will receive assignments from a sole source, the County 911 Center.
