Bracelets build momentum for marathon runner

Bracelets with ties to Fairport are being used to raise money for charity and will be featured by a runner in the Boston Marathon.

KonectIDY bracelets are designed to tell a personal story and support a cause, with $2 going to the charity connected to the bracelet design. Jack Pattie, who is running the 2014 Boston Marathon for Project Purple, used KonectIDY’s Charity Bracelet Creater (http://konectidy.com) Web page to design a fundraiser bracelet for Project Purple. Pattie and his supporters are wearing the colorful bracelets in memory of his brother Jim, who died last February of pancreatic cancer.

KonectIDY, with offices in Fairport, NY and Newbury MA, develops customizable messages of color that take the form of a bracelet.

KonectIDY also supports LPGA Golfer Cindy LaCrosse and her charity Blessings in a Backpack. LaCrosse acts as a traveling representative by blogging, tweeting, posting pictures and video while on tour. She may be followed in August at the Wegmans LPGA Golf Championship at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford.
