Monroe County school districts will receive significant increases in education funding as part of the final 2014-15 state budget agreement, according to Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle, D-Irondequoit.
City and suburban schools will receive funding increases above the statewide average.
Monroe County school districts will receive over $1 billion in state aid in the 2014-15 budget, a 5.8 percent increase over last year, Morelle said.
The Rochester City School District will receive over $521 million in state aid in the 2014-15 budget, a 6.2 percent increase over the 2013-2014 appropriation.
