BUFFALO (AP) — A man arrested with an arsenal of guns and ammunition in his vehicle while searching for a prostitute in Buffalo has been found guilty of illegal weapon possession.
WIVB-TV reported that 41-year-old David Anderson of Fillmore in Allegany County was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon earlier this week after a non-jury trial in state Supreme Court.
Authorities said in May 2013, Anderson was pulled over by Buffalo police for driving the wrong way on a city street. In his vehicle they found a loaded rifle, two loaded and unlicensed pistols, a silencer, a knife, handcuffs and 180 rounds of ammunition.
At the time, Anderson told officers that he was looking for a prostitute.
Anderson remains in custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced in May.
