Volunteers to spruce up county parks

The fifth annual Pick-Up-The-Parks Project, a green initiative hosted by the Monroe County Parks Department in partnership with Tim Horton’s Café & Bake Shop and Cascades Recovery, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday.

About 800 registered volunteers from across the community will be cleaning-up several county parks. All are welcome.

Immediately following the clean-up activities, the Monroe County Parks Department will host a picnic for all participating volunteers at noon at the Olmsted Lodge in Highland Park.

Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, work tools and dress appropriately for the weather. Meeting site and preregistration information is available at monroecounty.gov/parks or by calling (585) 753-PARK.
