Arhaus donating to Center for Youth

Shop Arhaus at The Culver Road Armory in Rochester will donate 10 percent of its sales through the end of June to support the establishment of The Center for Youth, New Beginning Homeless Shelter for Young Men.

The initiative starts Friday, May 30.

The Center for Youth provides comprehensive programs and services from prevention education to counseling to emergency shelter to youth development opportunities, like the New Beginning Shelter for Young Men — an alternative school for 16 to 21-year olds who face the challenges of the traditional educational setting or who may have already found themselves in the criminal justice system.

“In all of our store markets, we’re committed to supporting community-based organizations and providing much needed care and assistance to those in need locally,” says Arhaus Chairman and CEO John Reed. “We share The Center for Youth’s passion for the city’s young people and their ongoing development, and we’re committed to helping the organization further its outreach efforts and engagement through programs like the New Beginning school with fundraising efforts in the store.”

Arhaus at The Culver Road Armor, 155 Culver Road, is known for its handcrafted assortment of furniture, accessories and new tabletop collection. It will celebrate its grand opening with a Wish List Party.

Reservations will be accepted at the store or online: Arhaus has closed its EastView store.
