Rochester Area Crime Stoppers gave $1,500 to local K-9 units for assistance with veterinary expenses.

The first-time gift was shared by units from Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Greece Police Department.

Area law enforcement and government officials were on hand for the presentation, including state Sen. Joseph Robach, County Executive Maggie Brooks, Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn and Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan.

Monroe County Probations Director Bob Burns received a special gift from Crime Stoppers — a monogrammed vest for the department’s newest addition, K-9 Bishop.
