Onondaga County Comptroller Robert Antonacci has named Jane Rossi — an entrepreneur, community leader and nationally recognized expert on health care issues — as state finance chairwoman of his campaign for New York state comptroller.
Born and raised in Central New York, Rossi is the former owner of Stonehedge Health and Rehabilitations Centers. In 1995, then-Gov. George Pataki appointed her to a seat on the New York State Hospital Review and Planning Council. Rossi was also a former commissioner of the New York State Insurance Fund and has served on several community boards, foundations and economic development organizations.
In addition to her work in the healthcare field, Rossi served as president of James Street Management and Stonehedge Realty. She is a graduate of University of State of New York Regents College and was a licensed New York state nursing home administrator.
Antonacci is the twice-elected comptroller of Onondaga County and the Republican choice to face off against incumbent Thomas DiNapoli. He is a licensed certified public accountant and attorney.
