Douglas W. Dimitroff, a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP, will speak at an international seminar on Cross Border Business Strategies.
The event, hosted by Buffalo Niagara Enterprise, will be Thursday at the Harbour Banquet & Conference Center in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. It is aimed at Canadian companies looking to do business in the U.S.
Dimitroff will discuss the legal requirements and considerations involved in a variety of scenarios, including: Setting up sales operations, manufacturing and warehouse facilities, and other physical business expansion in the U.S.
The event will also feature experts in the areas of accounting, immigration, banking and human resource and recruiting.
Dimitroff is co-team leader of the firm’s Canadian Cross Border Team. He serves as vice chair of the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise board of directors and is a member of its steering committee and Finance and Audit Committee. He was the founding president and serves on the board of directors for the New York State Wireless Association.
