Federal funds for airport rehab

More than $2.5 million in federal funding will be used to replace and rehabilitate the taxiway at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport in Seneca Falls.

Specifically, the money will replace 4,500 feet of taxiway and will also be used to replace lighting, markings, signage and drainage. The funding, announced by U.S. Sens. Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, was allocated through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.
