Tully Rinckey PLLC has hired Charles J. McChesney as the law firm’s director of public relations as it prepares for continued expansion across upstate New York and beyond.
McChesney will develop and carry out public relations initiatives connecting media outlets with attorneys who can clearly explain complex legal matters. He will ensure journalists and the news-consuming public across the state and nation have on-demand access to the unique legal insights offered by Tully Rinckey PLLC’s team of nearly 60 attorneys focusing on close to 30 legal practice areas.
McChesney was an award-winning reporter with The Post-Standard and Syracuse.com, editor in chief of The Central New York Business Journal, and was in newsroom leadership and reporting positions at The News-Chronicle in Thousand Oaks, California, Investor’s Daily in Santa Monica, California, The Recorder in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and Foster’s Daily Democrat in Dover, New Hampshire.
He has more than 20 years of experience in print reporting and newsroom management roles, and his experience includes pioneering work in online reporting.
Prior to joining Tully Rinckey, he was proposal and public relations manager at Hiscock & Barclay LLP.
